Church family: "Prayer keeps us in constant communion with God, which is the goal of our entire believing lives. Without a doubt, prayerless lives are powerless lives, and prayerful lives are powerful lives; but, believe it or not, the ultimate goal God has for us is not power but personal intimacy with Him. Yes, God wants to bring us healing, but more than anything, He wants us to know our Healer, Yes, He wants to give us resurrection life, but more than that, He wants us to know the Resurrection and the Life." (Praying God’s Word, Beth Moore). Send your prayer requests and praises to Dina Horst at 402.420.5970. Thank you!

Ruthless - A down in the dust love story! Nearing the end of the Dust Bowl in Nebraska, Ruthie and Nana head back to the midwest. Ruthie starts working as a farmhand for various fields. Despite facing discrimination from others, Ruthie perseveres, and landowner Bo Azer offers her a better job with higher wages in his field. However, tensions rise with the locals and they disapprove of Ruthie's presence and plot against her. Come see Union College's production of an original play, "Ruthless," on Friday, April 5, at 7:30pm, in the College View Church sanctuary. There will also be a showing on April 7 at 7:30pm!

TWO NIGHTS ONLY! On Wednesday, April 17 & Thursday, April 18, join the Adventist Community for a special drama of the founding of the Seventh-day Adventist Church. William Miller’s faith is in ruins. After miraculously surviving a fierce battle in the War of 1812, Miller questions why God spared him. His search for wisdom leads to an astonishing prophesy — the world is going to end. The Hopeful unfolds as a story of a man burdened with the knowledge of Christ’s return. Miller’s message resonates with some — even as it is scorned by others. When a young woman named Ellen Harmon listens to one of his sermons she is transformed. And through her witness the message begins to take hold. Her preaching grows beyond prophecy and develops into a more holistic vision for how Christians should live and worship. We see blossoming the seeds of a new global movement of faith — the Seventh-day Adventist Church. The Hopeful is the true story of a community whose lives were transformed as they learn what it means to truly wait for Jesus. This sweeping drama, set in 19th century New England, invites audiences of all ages to imagine how hope can change the world. See the trailer here and get your tickets here!
